Our new stills are on their way from Scotland

So here's a question, how to you get the new stills from Scotland to Waiheke, when finally assembled they are over 6m high and have complex arms and legs.

Well, very carefully is the answer. The stills are dismantled into component parts and then bolted to a wooden shipping frame on wheels called a skid.

The skid then slides into the container with all the components bolted to it. Here the spirit still is lying on its side with its, Lyne arm and condenser and condenser legs, with the spirit safe at the front.

Similarly the wash still, here with its Lyne arm, condenser and both legs.  Both containers have left Grangemouth and the stills will arrive on site on the 27th of July.

We will keep you posted with arrival pictures and installation as we go..
