Bog Monster wins best in Category: World Whisky at NZSA

Our heavily peated single malt, Bog Monster won the best in category for World Whisky at the New Zealand Spirits Awards Friday night. The Bog Monster is a presented as part of our single cask, Special Circumstances range. 

Distilled in 2015 it started life in virgin oak then bourbon barrel finish, its bottled at 46%, non chill filtered, no added colour. 

The judges comments were. “Smoke reveals itself amid toffee-like sweetness rather than stealing centre stage. Flavours evolved across tasting, creating interest and absolute delight.”
